Trevor Wornham
Principal Solicitor
Trevor has extensive experience in UK business and personal immigration applications and appeals. He has been described by Chambers and Partners as “innovative thinking” and as having “an excellent reputation in the field”, and is ranked in band 1 of the leading immigration lawyers in the Midlands. He regularly co-presents the “Home Office policy, concessions & exercise of discretion outside of the Rules” course for the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association.
Following qualification as a solicitor in 1993 at Cameron Markby Hewitt (now CMS Cameron McKenna), City of London, Trevor practised exclusively in immigration law at Wilsons LLP, London and Tyndallwoods, Birmingham. He set up Wornham & Co in September 2002.
Trevor graduated in Law from the London School of Economics, completed his professional exams at Chancery Lane College of Law and undertook further studies in International Comparative Law at McGill University, Montreal.
Tom Brett Young
Associate Solicitor
Tom is an experienced immigration solicitor. He joined Wornham & Co in 2004, qualifying as a solicitor in 2007. His practice comprises all aspects of UK business and personal immigration applications and appeals.
Tom co-presents the "Getting started in Business Immigration Law" course for the Immigration Law Practitioners' Association.
Following graduating in Business from University of West England, Bristol, Tom completed the Diploma in Legal Studies at Birmingham University passing with a commendation, and the Legal Practice Course at Birmingham College of Law passing with a distinction.
Nelson Cifuentes
Assistant Solicitor
Nelson joined Wornham & Co in September 2007, and qualified as a solicitor specialising in UK immigration and nationality law in September 2010. His practice comprises all aspects of UK personal and business immigration and nationality law.
Nelson is a graduate in Psychology from University of Wolverhampton. He obtained Commendations in his Diploma in Laws from University of Wolverhampton, and in his Legal Practice Course from Birmingham College of Law.
Jane Lloyd
Secretary
Jane has specialised as an immigration legal secretary since 1997. She primarily works with Trevor Wornham and Nelson Cifuentes. Jane joined Wornham & Co in 2003. Prior to that, she worked with Trevor Wornham and other immigration solicitors at Tyndallwoods.
Valerie Douglas
Secretary
Valerie joined Wornham & Co in September 2006, to specialise as an immigration legal secretary. She mainly works with Tom Brett Young and Nelson Cifuentes. Valerie has many years’ experience as a legal secretary, gained at major national and international law firms, Hammonds and Pinsent Masons.
